Membership at Gravity Grains

Joining Gravity Grains as a member means aligning with a community that values the future of life on Earth and beyond. Your membership is a signal of intent. It tells the world that you believe in access to celestial abundance, in the average person's ability to participate in that narrative, and in the power of a million voices speaking toward a collective vision for the future.

Gravity Grains is built on the principle that membership should reflect global diversity and empower action while avoiding corruption. Our membership tiers are intentionally structured to ensure dynamic and equitable participation across multiple demographics of wealth. Those with the means to provide extraordinary support are influential, but they are not granted the extraordinary influence they may be accustomed to. Those with limited means are treated with the respect that wealth inequality on Earth is not their doing, and that their voice matters more to the mission than their circumstances.

Your Voice Matters

One of the most common questions we receive is simple and honest: “What stops a billionaire from taking this over?” The answer is built directly into our governance. Gravity Grains uses a naturalized voting system that negotiates between the challenges of cumulative and proportional systems. No matter how much someone contributes, their influence grows slowly, predictably, and with strict diminishing returns.

Every member receives votes based on their contribution, but those votes follow a natural curve rather than a linear or exponential one. The formula is:

Naturalized Votes = ceil((contribution × 0.70)0.367879441171)

This means a member contributing a small amount still receives meaningful representation, while someone contributing vastly more cannot overwhelm the collective voice. Wealth does not scale into power here. Influence is earned and it is always bounded by the community.

A Real Example

An extraordinary annual contribution of $1,000,000,000 yields ≈ 1,800 votes.

A deeply appreciated $100 annual contribution yields ≈ 5 votes.

In practice, just 360 everyday members can match the influence of an extremely wealthy supporter.

Under cumulative voting, multiple bad actors can contribute very little yet gain disproportionately destructive access to our community.

Under proportional voting, a single bad actor can contribute enough to seize absolute control and shape the community as they please.

Our community’s naturalized voice endures.

This system ensures that Gravity Grains remains a member-supported institution rather than an investor-owned one. A single billionaire could fund every project we undertake, but they cannot purchase control, override consensus, or silence the global membership. Your voice is protected by design.

You may have noticed the 0.70 in the formula above. That number isn’t arbitrary. It reflects the reality that running a global membership community requires infrastructure, staff, security, and support. Gravity Grains allocates 30% of every contribution to the stewardship that keeps this institution healthy, and 70% goes directly toward mission work. The voting system uses only the mission‑effective portion, ensuring that every member’s influence is tied to the part of their contribution that directly advances our shared goals.

Ways to Participate

A global member network gives Gravity Grains the best possible opportunity to include the voices of cultures around the world. This combined voice is essential for reaching consensus on the exploration of space, settling new worlds peacefully, and securing our place as citizens within them. A single billionaire could fund every project we undertake, but they cannot replace the collective vision, representation, and voice that a global membership can provide.

We are governed by laws and led by values. Membership is limited to adults aged 18 and older, and excludes individuals whose governments claim ownership over their means of participation. This protects our community and ensures that every member joins freely and intentionally.
